Initial Brief

The owner of this beautiful Victorian house was looking to expand the ground floor space, removing an older extension installed in the 1980s and replacing it with a modern usable space maximising the views and giving access to the tranquil Japanese inspired garden.

Project

SGP used a combination of aluminium sliding doors, frameless structurally glazed windows and rooflights to bring the outside in and make the most of all the light and views in to the garden. We combined our glazing solutions with high performance solar control glazing to keep the climate inside pleasant all year round. In combination with the warm timber, and the striking slate cladding the result is a stunning and very usable space.
