Project
SGP designed and installed over 100 metres of floor to ceiling toughened double glazing to the entire frontage of the new café. Within the façade, 7 automatic sliding doors were integrated to make the café more accessible to disabled visitors.
Above the café, in order to make the dining room as light and airy as possible, SGP installed 2 large pyramid shaped lantern roof lights. Formed from patent glazing bars and a combination of toughened and laminated glazing, the rooflights enhance the ambience on even the most overcast of summer days in Somerset.
As a final flourish and to make the installation a one of a kind, SGP installed a bespoke manifestation which contains the new café’s logo, standing seam roof to a new pagoda and a bespoke perforated panel, in the shape of a chameleon, to cloak a ventilation duct.
