Brise Soleil
Project
SGP installed the main structurally glazed façade. The large toughened glass units were designed without supporting framework which offers an uninterrupted 7.5m wide x 4.5m tall picture frame of the landscape. To prevent overheating of the space a high specification Solar Control glass was used to control the amount of solar energy entering on very hot days. In addition, a fixed blade brise-soleil system was fitted externally to offer shading to the glazing when the sun is high in the sky.
To complement the main façade SGP also fitted thermally broken Aluminium tilt and turn windows.
